    New Arrangements for Nicola Benedetti's upcoming tour and Decca album 'Violin Café'

    Steve has arranged Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy and Navarra, Paganini’s Cantabile and Caprices Nos. 1 & 24, and Wieniawski’s Polonaise de Concert Op. 4 for Nicola Benedetti’s UK tour and new album on the Decca label Violin Café. The ensemble is violin, accordion, guitar, and cello. The tour starts on 12th October and the album is out on 21st November. Full details here.

    'Letters from Paris' is out on 3rd October

    Letters from Paris, Alexandra Whittingham’s debut album on the Decca label is out on 3rd October 2025. It includes a number of Steve’s arrangements where Alexandra collaborates with Jess Gillam, Stephanie Jones, and the Carducci Quartet.

    'Eternal Fantasy' is out on 17th October

    Kaori Muraji’s new album Eternal Fantasy is out on the Decca label on 17th October 2025. It includes some of Steve’s arrangements for two guitar which Kaori performs with her brother Soichi.

    7 album releases of Steve's music in 2025

    In 2025 there will be 7 new releases of Steve’s music. Next up is A Concerto of Colours for wind orchestra and guitar with soloist Nicholas Goluses, which is being released on the Albany label on September 19th. Then there are three albums for Decca Classics featuring Steve’s arrangements for Nicola Benedetti, Alexandra Whittingham, Jess Gillam, and Kaori Muraji. New recordings of Steve’s pieces Motherlands, the Welsh Folksongs, and his concerto for two guitars and strings Landscape and Memory have already been released earlier in the year.     'Landscape and Memory' New Triple Album Out Now

    ‘Landscape and Memory’ is the new critically acclaimed triple album of Steve’s music, released on the Deux-Elles label. Artists include John Williams, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Max Baillie, Thomas Carroll, Zoran Dukic, Aniello Desiderio, SoloDuo, Stephen Farr, the Asaka quartet, and many others.

    Concerto recording release, Re/String

    Adam Cicchillitti and Steve Cowan recorded Steve’s Landscape and Memory concerto for two guitars and strings in September 2024 with Canadian ensemble Collectif9, directed by Thibault Bertin-Maghit. The Re/String album was released on the Leaf Music label on February 14th 2025. Re/String features 6 composers and 6 commissions and was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.

    'A Concerto of Colours' for guitar and wind ensemble, recording release

    Nicholas Goluses has recorded A Concerto of Colours with the Eastman Wind Ensemble. The album will be released on 19th September on Parma Recordings’ Albany label.

    'Marylebone Elegy' John Williams and the RPO, New Single Out Now

    The third single from Steve’s new triple album Landscape and Memory is out now on the Deux-Elles label, streaming on all platforms. Marylebone Elegy for guitar and orchestra is the slow movement from Steve’s Guitar Concerto. The soloist is John Williams and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Paul Daniel.

    The Omni Foundation in partnership with D’Addario strings have recently sponsored a number of films of Steve’s music that is featured on his latest album Landscape and Memory. The films feature the artists SoloDuo, Alexander-Sergei Ramirez and Sheila Arnold, Emily Andrews and Francisco Correa, the Asaka Quartet, and Max Baillie.

    The second single from Steve’s new triple album Landscape and Memory is out now on the Deux-Elles label, streaming on all platforms. Precipitato is the final movement of Caught Between for cello – Thomas Carroll and piano – Graham Caskie.

    'Negroni' from 'Cocktail List' Single Out Now

    The first single from Steve’s new triple album Landscape and Memory is out now on the Deux-Elles label, streaming on all platforms. ‘Negroni’ is taken from Cocktail List for two guitars. The guitarists on the recording are Aniello Desiderio and Zoran Dukić.

    'Histoire du Tango Concerto' recording out now. Artyom Dervoed and the Russian National Orchestra

    In June 2924, Artyom Dervoed and the Russian National Orchestra released Steve’s new arrangement of Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango, for guitar, bayan, strings, and percussion. The album is available on all streaming platforms on the Prima Classic label.

    'Still Life' nominated for an Ivor Novello Award

    Steve’s cello and guitar piece Still Life has been nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello Award in the chamber music composition category.
